Yes. Our workshop is located in Delft and all pottery is painted in a traditional manner. The techniques we use have been employed in Delft for centuries. Also our pottery is provided with a Delftware mark and our products are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

A Delft Blue tile or plate is the ultimate gift for valued clients or employees. In consultation, also based on the feasibility of the design, we can create a modern or classic design including your company logo.

Q:

Delft Blue paint appears to be black. How does it process into blue?

A:

De Blauwe Tulp is one of the few workshops left that still employs a traditional production method. As part of this method, black cobalt oxide paint is applied to the ceramic, which is then provided with an additional enamel layer, to finally receive its authentic Delft Blue colour by heating the painted object in the kiln.

Q:

Do you also make use of prints or stickers on Delft Blue products?

No. At the Blauwe Tulp all Delftware is exclusively painted by hand in a traditional manner.
